At the age of 14, he continued his classical training in trombone and accordion at the Tyrolean State Conservatory in Innsbruck, where he also discovered his passion for jazz and popular music. At the age of 19, he went to Linz to study jazz trombone at the Anton Bruckner Private University. This was followed by a master’s degree in classical trombone at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.

Together with the cellist, pianist and composer Anna Lang, he founded the the duo Sinfonia de Carnaval. Inspired by the expressive sound discourses of jazz and using various elements of classical music, rock and funk, the duo creates a sound universe from the entire sound spectrum of their instruments to create a sound universe that is sometimes mixed with electronic sounds.

In 2021, he founded the quartet “Alpha Trianguli” together with Florian Klinger, Jakob Kammerer and Philipp Kienberger, with which he can musically process his inspirations from the cosmos and the starry sky. Inspired by the beauty and vastness of the universe, the Alpha Trianguli quartet embarks on a journey into the infinity of sound worlds. The four musicians move between earthy, edgy tones around energetic, swirling grooves and floating, calm sound paintings that are inspired by the view of the universe.

Alois has also worked musically with Ray Anderson, James Morrison, Bob Mintzer, Michel Camilo, Wycliffe Gordon, Chuck Findley, Jure Pukl, Mark Turner, Omar Hakim, Dave Taylor, Gary Smulyan, Dave Liebman, Thomas Gansch, Manu Delago and Martin Grubinger, just to name a few.

Alois is also a member of Echoboomer, OrJazztra Vienna (Christian Muthspiel), Kammerer OrKöster, Thomas Gansch Blasmusik Supergroup, Manu Delago Ensemble, Pannonica, Purple Muscle Car, Synesthetic Octet, Aufmessers Schneide.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”668″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” css=””][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_custom_heading text=”Florian Klinger – Vibraphone (Austria)” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left|color:%23ef3774″ google_fonts=”font_family:Alfa%20Slab%20One%3Aregular|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal” css=””][vc_column_text css=””]Florian Klinger, born in 1991, is a percussionist, composer, and soloist who studied classical percussion and jazz mallets in Vienna and New York City. In addition to his role as a percussionist at the Volksoper Vienna, he is building a career as a solo artist and composer.

Klinger’s recently formed band features talented musicians from his previous projects, including Lorenz Raab (trumpet), Fabian Rucker (saxophone), Georg Vogel (piano), Raphael Preuschl (bass), and Andreas Lettner (drums). On his debut album, he collaborates with guest artists such as singer Patrizia Ferrara, MC Al-Khabir Richman, clarinetist Helmut Hödl, and violinist Huiseung Yoo.

As a leader, Klinger’s album showcases his broad musical spectrum, blending elements of classical, jazz, and improvisation. He is one of the few Austrian musicians who seamlessly navigate both classical and contemporary genres. His studies with Stefon Harris and Kevin Norton in the U.S. greatly influenced his compositional style, resulting in music that transports listeners into rich and diverse soundscapes.

On his album One, Klinger explores a wide range of styles, from beat-driven tracks reminiscent of J Dilla, Common, and neo-soul, to hymnal pieces with orchestral undertones. The album also features vibrant jazz ballads, oriental-inspired grooves, and swinging odd meters. Brass sections create a lively contrast with melancholic piano passages, while the soulful vibes of the vibraphone remain at the heart of each composition. Klinger’s use of the vibraphone offers a refreshing take on the instrument, giving listeners a chance to experience its versatility in new and exciting ways.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”669″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” css=””][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_custom_heading text=”Philipp Kienberger – Bass (Austria)” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left|color:%23ef3774″ google_fonts=”font_family:Alfa%20Slab%20One%3Aregular|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal” css=””][vc_column_text css=””]Philipp Kienberger is one of those artistis who always tries to think outside the box. As a bass player (double bass and electric bass), as a composer as well as an organizer of different projects he is always searching for new sound structures, the unconventional and progressive, ideas that cross interdisciplinary and cultural boundaries. Philipp Kienberger has gained a name as a bandleader with projects like LUZID CHAOS and KVIN but he is also a frequently asked bass player in the Austrian music scene. Dealing mainly with music out of the jazz, experimental and contemporary field but also with pop, rock and hip-hop he is regularly playing in well-known venues and on festivals in and outside of Austria.

On stage as well as on record, his aim is always to create a strong and clear musical performance. As a co-leader of the 13-piece collective LITTLE ROSIES KINDERGARTEN he is working on a way to express the freedom of improvisation and contemporary composition in a larger ensemble. With his newest project, /KRY, he is working in an overtly artistically free space in a small formation of three.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”670″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” css=””][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_custom_heading text=”Jakob Kammerer – Drums (Austria)” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left|color:%23ef3774″ google_fonts=”font_family:Alfa%20Slab%20One%3Aregular|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal” css=””][vc_column_text css=””]Jakob Kammerer, born in Melk in 1992, studied percussion from 2011 to 2017 at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK) with Walter Grassmann, and with Jonas Burgwinkel and Alex Vesper at the Cologne University of Music and Dance (HfMT).
