GERGELY SUGAR - AUSTRIA

Conductor and horn player of the Wiener  Symphoniker Gergely Sugar received his principal education at the famous Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest and at the University of Music in Vienna where his professiors included composers Ivan Madarsz, Adam Kondor, conductors Tamas Gal, Laszlo Kovacs and horn players Friedrich Gavler and Adam Friedrich. At the age of 21 he became one of the youngest members of the Budapest Festival Orchestra udner the baton of Maestro Ivan Fischer who influenced him to persuade his conducting carrier. After winning the horn-audition and becoming a memner of the prestigious Wiener Symphoniker at the age of 23, Gergely continued his conducting studies with Maestro Jorma Panila in St. Petersburg , Russia dutch Orchestra creator Maestro Kees Bakels and David Gimenez Carreras. His first conducting engagement included the St. Petersburg Academic Festival Orchestra in Russia the chamber-players, chamber choir, brass ensemble and youth orchestra of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra throughout Malaysia as well as the Kammersymphonie der Wiener Symphoniker at the majestic Musikverein and Konzerthaus in Vienna, Gergely has been cover conductor of the christoph won Dahnayi and Thomas Hampson for Arnold Schoenbergs ’A Survivor for Warsaw’ collaborated and conducted works by the american composer John Adams in Konzerthaus Wiener, premiered compositions by Miguel Kertsman and led the Illustrated Chamber Performances Concerts Series at the Petronas Twin Towers presenting classical masterpieces by Leopold and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Joseph Hydn, Antonin Dvorak, Johann Strauss and Pyotr Ilych Tchaikovsky in Kuala Lumpur. His Upcoming performance highlights in the 2017 season include works by Gustav Mahler, vilin concertos by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy abd Jurt Wil, works by Colon Nancarrow, Aaron Copland, Seregei Prokofiev, Ludwig van Beethoven and Igor Stravinsky. Gergely’s recordings as soloist of the Christoph Forster Horn Concerto, Jugend by Seigfried Karg Elert, Septett Op.20 by Ludwig van Beethoven and Robert Schumann’s Adagio and Allegro are available at the labes Solo Musica Munchen, Hungaroton and Scholoss Weinierl respectively. ORSOLYA KORCSOLAN - AUSTRIA

With her recordings praised as “heartbreakingly beautiful” (Scene Magazine), “a sweeping experience” (Pizzicato), “full of emotions” (Crescendo Magazine), Hungarian-born violinist Orsolya Korcsolan has established herself as one of the most versatile violin players and teachers of her generation. Her technical command and warm, compelling sound, combined with her spirit and elegant stage presence have captured audiences around the world since her debut in New York.  Her latest release ‘Silenced’ is available worldwide on Deutsche Grammophon from the 29th of September 2017. Highlights of her upcoming season include the recording of the Concerto for Violin and Shofar by Brazilian composer Miguel Kertsman with conductor Denis Russel Davis and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Discovered and supported by the late Sir Georg Solti, the Juilliard alumna won numerous awards in New York before settling in Vienna. As a chamber musician, Ms Korcsolan has performed with artists such as Grammy nominee clarinet player David Krakauer, and with mandolin player Avi Avital – a Grammy nominee, Echo Award winner, and Deutsche Grammophon artist. She has shared the stage with distinguished conductors such as Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Christoph Eschenbach, Valeri Gergiew, Christoph Eschenbach and Michael Tilson Thomas, and as a soloist, she gave the Hungarian premiere of Karl Amadeus Hartmann’s Concerto Funebre at the Budapest Music Center. Besides her regular concert schedule, Ms Korcsolan is an advocate of suppressed music, an avid performer and researcher of composers and compositions silenced by the Holocaust. She has served as an ambassador for the Jewish Summer Festival in Budapest, as the artistic advisor and artist-in-residence for the Vienna Jewish Cultural Festival, and took part in the “Missing Links” concert series at the Holocaust Memorial Centre and the Budapest Goldmark Festival. Her earlier, critically-acclaimed albums “MOSAIC – Classical Jewish Compositions for Violin and Piano” and “KornGOLDmark – Works by Erich Korngold, Carl and Rubin Goldmark” were released by Solo Musica München, featuring the world premiere recording of Rubin Goldmark’s Plaintive Air for violin and piano. Committed to education and sharing her passion for music, Ms Korcsolan holds regular masterclasses. She is also the founder and director of the Musikschule in Wien in Palais Palffy where she works with the next generation of exceptional young violinists in Vienna. Ms Korcsolan graduated with distinction from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, then continued her studies at The Juilliard School in New York with Dorothy DeLay, Itzhak Perlman and Masao Kawasaki, where she received her Master of Music degree. While in New York, she won the Dorothy DeLay Award and the Cornelius Vander Starr Award, two prestigious prizes granted to further the development of outstanding talent. YULIA MALIKOVA - RUSSIA

Yulia Malikova is a unique phenomenon on the Moscow music scene. An outstanding personality, filled with music, inspiration, creative ideas and boundless charm. A bright performer on the trumpet and flugelhorn, which in her hand turns from a simple musical instrument into a copper element, leaving listeners indifferent. Yulia Malikova is the winner of various Russian and foreign competitions, including the Grand Prix of the Siena jazz music program( Italy,2011). The author of the project of the jazz flavor of “Musical magnet”.  Her creative path does not fit into the framework of a single musical direction, it is jazz improvisation, it is the search for a new format of acoustic and electric sound of our time, it is an active pedagogical activity and the organization of children’s competitions of performing skills. Yulia Malikova today is a soloist of the pop orchestra of the Federal Customs Service under the direction of Vladimir Melnikov and Konstantin Alekseev, as Julia is involved in the theatrical production of Nikita Kobelev “Caucasian chalk circle” by Bertold Brecht, which premiered enchanting April 27, 2016 in the Moscow academic theater named after Vladimir Mayakovsky. A few years Yulia Malikova is the mastermind and participant in the creative laboratory “Sunscreed”. instrumental music at the junction of ethnics,art rock, jazz, avant-garde and lounge, music for the film.

MARCO PIEROBON - ITALY

First prize in international competitions of Passau (Germany), Imperia and Aqui Terme, Marco Pierobon has been for almost ten years “Principal Trumpet” of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra – Florence (1999-2002 under Zubin Mehta) and the Accademia di Santa Cecilia Orchestra – Rome (2003-2008 under Antonio Pappano), and has collaborated as “Principal Trumpet” with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (Daniel Barenboim) and the Filarmonica della Scala Orchestra. He has performed as soloist with the orchestras of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, English Chamber Orchestra, Vienna Kammerkonzert, I virtuosi del Teatro alla Scala, Max-Plank-Philharmonie München, Junge Philharmonie Salzburg, Marchigiana Philharmonic, with the orchestras of Mantua, Bolzano, Vicenza, in addition to the Marche wind orchestra and the State Police Military Wind Band. In this capacity he has worked, among others, with conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Isaac Karabtchevsky, Etienne Siebens, Friedrich Heider, Guenther Neuhold, Ralph Gothoni in Japan, China, Europe and USA. In 2011 Marco was featured in a solo tour of Argentina, played with the Mar del Plata and Tucuman symphony Orchestras, held a recital in Buenos Aires and masterclasses in three different universities. Marco Pierobon has reliesed a CD for Accademia2008, called “SoLo”, with the Orchestra di Fiati delle Marche conducted by Michele Mangani. The cd was commented by Roger Bobo, brass legend, as “wonderful modern trumpet playing, full of musicality”. He has published a didactic DVD about brass instruments. He held Master Classes in USA, Canada, England, Greece, Germany and Austria, besides for several Italian Festivals and Academies. He has recorded for Sony and Emi with the Accadeia di S.Cecilia (Rome) Orchestra under the direction of Antonio Pappano. With the GomalanBrass Quintet he has performed throughout Europe, Asia and America, and published four cds and one DVD for Summit Records and Naxos. Since 2007 he is trumpet professor at the Conservatories of Bolzano and Reggio Emilia, Italy. Marco Pierobon is Yamaha Performing Artist and Wedge Mouthpiece Endorsing Artist. IRIS HASANI - ALBANIA

Iris was born in 1986 in Korca Albania. She took her first lessons in piano in her hometown from the year 2005-2009 at music school“Tefta Tashko-Koco”. After her studies at Academy of Arts in Tirana with pedagogue Ina Petrollari (2009-2012), she graduated Master Degree for Chamber Music. She had lessons with many profesors of pianio in foreign countries like: Prof. Y. M. Galea Malta, Prof I. Ursula Viena ect. Iris is active in many concerts in different cities and couontries like solist but also in chember music or accompanying voice choir. Actually she is piano Pedagogue at High school of music “Jordan misja” in Tirana.

GREGORY JONES - USA

Dr. Gregory Jones serves as the Director of the Purdue University Fort Wayne School of Music following a career at Truman State University in Missouri as trumpet professor and conductor of the brass choir and jazz band.  He holds music degrees from Florida State University, the University of North Texas, and a Doctorate in Music Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music.  His wide variety of performance experiences include the Kansas City Symphony, the Moscow Radio Orchestra, the Rochester Philharmonic, the Missouri Chamber Orchestra, the Eastman Wind Ensemble, the Texas Baroque Ensemble, the Grand Teton Seminar Orchestra, Wynton Marsalis, Allen Vizzutti, Al Jarreau, Audra McDonald, Bill Conti, Joshua Bell, the Dallas Cowboys Band, and many others.  He has recorded for National Public Radio and continues to perform as a trumpet soloist and conductor.  Dr. Jones has served as an artist-in-residence in Greece, a recipient of a Senior Fulbright Grant from the United States Information Agency and the Council for International Exchange of Scholars and has been a member of the Fulbright Selection Panel in Washington, D.C.  Recent performances and clinics include the Melos Brass Academy on the Greek Island of Corfu where he performed and taught with Chris Martin of the Chicago Symphony, Frits Damrow of the Concertgebow Orchestra in Amsterdam, The Mnozil Brass, the Canadian Brass, and trombonist Christian Lindberg among others.  Dr. Jones also often visits Greece, Kosovo, Macedonia, and Albania where he has taught and performed as part of an ongoing program aided by the U.S. Embassy and Fulbright Foundation.  He frequently tours China including performing the opening concert of the first conference of the newly formed China Trumpet Guild.  In America he has recently appeared as a clinician at The Midwest Band Directors Clinic in Chicago and at Florida State University, Rice University, the University of Texas at Arlington, and at Missouri State University. The Purdue School of Music under Dr. Jones has recently added new degrees in music industry and recording and production as well as a state of the art recording studio on the campus of Sweetwater, a leader in music business.  He has presented at the Fulbright Conference and for the National Association for Schools of Music conferences, both in Washington, DC.  The wind ensemble from Purdue Fort Wayne recently toured Austria, the Czech Republic and Germany and is planning a China tour for 2020. His book, Developing Expression in Brass Performance and Teaching is available from Routledge/Taylor and Francis. BUSINA BRASS QUINTET - CROATIA

The Quintet was founded in 2007 as an integral part of the Croatian Association of Trombone and Tuba players – Busina, with the specific goal of introducing brass chamber music to the audience. It is one of leading brass ensembles in Croatia, having performed more than 30 concerts in the last two years. The members of this international Ensemble come from Croatia, Israel, Romania and Hungary and are among the most awarded music performers. They are also principal players in their prospective orchestras and work as pedagogues in music schools and academies. The program of the Ensemble is diverse; it ranges from original works for brass quintet to arrangements of popular renaissance, baroque and classical pieces, dixie, blues and jazz music as well as popular movie soundtracks. Beside performing throughout Croatia (Požega, Vinkovci, Petrinja, Sisak, Zagreb, Zabok, Rovinj, Samobor, Koprivnica, Šibenik, among others), the Ensemble has a strong international exchange and in the last three years it has performed concerts in Greece (Parnassos Hall), Turkey (Ankara), Slovenia (Kazinski Hall of the Slovene Theater), Israel (Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Raanana), Georgia (Tbilisi), United Kingdom (English Brass Academy in Shrewsbury) and Japan (Sagamihara, Yokohama), where they performed the first ever Japanese performance of Eric Ewazen’s Shadowcatcher, a concerto for brass quintet and orchestra. In 2017 they performed the European premiere of the same piece with accompanied by the Vojvodina Symphonic Orchestra in Novi Sad, Serbia. The Ensemble often performs with the Symphonic Wind Orchestra of the Croatian Armed Forces, and together they have premiered three pieces written specially for brass quintet and wind orchestra. Also, Busina Brass Quintet is an ensemble-in-residence of the Summer Brass Academy Šibenik. The members of the Ensemble often take part in master classes held by leading brass soloists around the world like Reinhold Friedrich, Gabor Boldozky, Stanko Arnold, Jon Faddis, John Thomas, Bobby Shue, Nikolas Elklund, Mel Culbertson, Jens Bjorn Larssen, Hans Gansch, Ben Van Dijk, Christian Lindberg, Michael Becquet.

Hrvoje Pintaric - CROATIA

Hrvoje Pintarić, native of Bjelovar, Croatia, is a graduate of the Zagreb Music Academy where he studied with with Stjepan Mateić, principal horn of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra. He continued his studies in Prague under the tutelage of Zdeněk Tylšar, the renowned principal horn of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. While pursuing his studies he was a member of the Croatian National Army Orchestra, following which he was named principal horn of the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, a post he occupied from 1997 to 2004. He toured extensively in Europe with this orchestra and was often featured as soloist. He is a founding member of the well known Croatian brass quintet Simply Brass. He regularly performs concerts as a soloist and chamber musician in Croatia as well as in the United States (most notably Lincoln Center in New York, Spain, Austria, Montenegro and Canada. Since 2004 he is associate principal horn with the Croatian National Opera Orchestra, a post he occupies to this day. Mr. Pintarić, is a Dieter Otto Horns artist and performs on their instruments exclusively.

DORIAN CENE - ALBANIA

Dorian Çene was born in Gjirokstra in 1980. Being born in a family where music was always present, since his father was an orchestra conductor, provided the easy way to start with piano lessons at the age of 6 years old. After graduation at his native city gymnasium “Asim Zeneli”, he won the competition to enter the Academy of Arts (now University of the Arts) and start his studies in the composition class of Prof. Aleksandër Peçi. In 2002 he graduated with honors composing as a diploma work a Symphonic Poem for large orchestra which was than the only piece to be chosen for performance by the Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Mr. Bujar Llapaj After his graduation he specializes in Rome with Prof. Edgar Alandia in Composizione e Analizi Musicali 2004-2005 where his diploma was evaluated with the maximum of the votes (110/110). He also attended several master-class-es and workshops with some of the most renowned composers and composition professor as with Prof.G.Kolarovski, Prof.E.Gaudibert, Prof.J.Wolrich, Prof.K.Schwoon, Prof.A.Radvilovitch in Orid, Macedonia (2000-organized by the Performing Arts Center-Multimedia, Ohrid), Prof. Erich Urbaner in Vienna (2001-organized by the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Prof. Wolfgang Hufschmidt in Tirana (2003-organized by the “Miqtë e Muzikës” Association Tirana), Prof. Klaus Huber in Berlin (2003-organized by the Buckower Kunst und Kulturförderverein). His artistic career started as he was a student and his works have been evaluated with several prizes as the Third prize at the „ Çesk Zadeja“ new composers competition, Tirana, Special prize of the foundation „Dhora Leka“,Second prize at the „ Çesk Zadeja“ new composers competition, Tirana. Dorian Çene has composed from those for solo instruments to pieces for large symphonic orchestra. His music has been performed in Albania and abroad as in USA, Germany, Austria, Italy, Australia, Spain, Macedonia, Kosovo etc. Since 2004 he has been teaching at the University of the Arts-Music Faculty and since 2015 he holds the position of the Head of the Department of Composition, Musicology, Conducting and Music Pedagogy.

Jurgen Albarjami - ALBANIA

Was born in Elbasan on 07.08.1993. He started his studies at the Onufri music school in Elbasan in 2000, in the violin instrument. Then in 2009 he started his trombone lessons, continuing from 2013 at the University of Arts in the class of Romeo Manes. During this period he has participated in various masterclasses and has been part of various orchestras where can be mentioned the orchestra of Uart, Orkestra e Tkob, Symphonic orchestra of Rtsh, Albanian Youth Orchestra, Wind orchestra ‘Aferdita’ and Orchestra ‘Ibrahim Madhi ‘.

Albanian Brass Ensemble

It is created by famous artists in Albanian. They are very important at the respective Institution where they develop their artistic activity like in: National Opera House Orchestra, Radio Television Orchestra, Pedagogues at University of Arts, Army Orchestra.  They reason why they create these ensemble is to unify the Brass Clasess in Albania, to increase the artistic level in general and also to give to the public a profesional inerpretation sharing Albanian and foreing music acros the world.

Ergis Spahiu - ALBANIA

Ergis Spahiu, born in Berat on December 12, 1993, began piano studies at the age of 6 at the music school “Ajet Xhindole” where he studied for 12 years and gave several concerts as a pianist. In 2012 he earned the right to Bachelor studies at the University of Arts, for composition with professor Prof.Aleksander Peçi. During these three years, he has not been missing any scene as a young instrumentalist and composer. Some of his compositions performed in public are: Trio violin / cello / piano – ‘Arrow’s structure”, “Thunderstorm’, and others. In 2015, he graduated Bachelor studies at the maximum level with symphony orchestra ‘Berat Legend’, and he earned the right to Master studies at the University of Arts. In May of 2016, at the Masterclass of the well-known Australian composer Alan Holley, he is highly appreciated and had taken an invitation to compose a show that would be exhibit in Sydney Australia. During the two years of Master he continued on the public scene as a composer. Some of the concerts during the two years of Master 2015-2017 are: -Film music “Drama Student”, “Sigis” -Duo for clarinet and cello (in Sydney / Australia) -Theater music and pianist “Metamorphosis” Franz Kafka, and others. In July 2018 he finished his two years of Master studies and continued his career as a composer and pianist in the scenes of the Australian and Albanian public.

ISMET VEJSELI - NORTH MACEDONIA (scholarship student)

Ismet Vejseli born on 11.04.1998 in Kumanovo , is a student of singing at the faculty of music ,, S.Cyril and Methodius ” in Skopje , he works with the great soprano Ana Durlovski. Ismet finished the primary school of music ,,Pance Pesev” in Kumanovo in clarinet and solo singing , then he finished the high school of music ,,Ilija Nikolovski Luj” in Skopje under the mentor of solo singing Mustafa Imeri .Ismet won many singing competitions in Macedonia and many international competitions in Arandjelovac in Serbia . He was twice the absolute winner of the singing competition in Macedonia , and won 4 times the first place in other singing competitions in Macedonia. Ismet was a contestant twice in singing competitons in Serbia (2013,2016) , he won twice the first place. Ismet won the first place in international competition for vocal counterpoint , and twice the second place for harmony 1 . He in 2016 participated in a music masterclass in Prizren , where he won the opportunity to sing in Forli , Italy and work with Dolores Delgado (soprano from Spain) . Ismet now has a few recitals in Macedonia , and continues studies with the world famous soprano Ana Durlovski.
